Hello and welcome to my first official blog post for Renaissance Painting and Decorating! Now that I’ve officially joined the blogging community, I have to say that I’m really looking forward to using this forum as a way to keep in touch with my valued clients and reach out to new clients.
Anyone who knows me is familiar with my penchant for learning and staying current. With this blog I now have an opportunity to share information about new techniques for painting and decorating, and to elaborate on how I’m not only learning these techniques, but plan to apply them in my work.
I’m also planning to pull back the proverbial curtain and provide a glimpse of behind-the-scenes action. You thought painting was just a matter of dipping a brush in a can and applying a steady hand? Prepare to be dazzled and come away far more informed about the process of beautifying and rejuvenating your home!
And stay tuned for future posts that will cover a broad range of topics from adhering to green standards to random musings about paint quality and how not to do things. Some inspired posts may even venture far from the painting path. Hello…fishing anyone?
Finally, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of the clients I’ve had the pleasure to work with over the past sixteen years.
Coming Up…
Green. Yes, it’s a pretty colour. It’s also the colour of money, and without photosynthesis…well, I shudder to think. But green is also a modern term describing an approach to doing things in a way that leaves the smallest possible carbon footprint on our earth.
It may not have been easy for Kermit, but I’m doing my best to learn the techniques that will allow Renaissance Painting and Decorating to comply with the latest standards (hyperlink to: ) and ultimately stay on Mother Nature’s good side. I’ll write more about LEED (the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Building Rating System) in my next post. See you then!
